Welcome to the cutting-edge of uphill cycling
and world's most famous ascents of each of the continents

Belgium's highest peak is situated in the Ardennes/Eifel region. The Botrange reaches almost 700 meters of altitude in a highmoor scenery. The highest summit of the neighbouring Netherlands is located only some 40 kilometers to the north - the Vaalserberg. And some 50 kilometers to the south Luxembourg's highest mountain can be combined in a pleasant ride - the Kneiff.
Departure: Verviers 167m

The ride commences in Walloon Verviers and follows signposted "Baraque-Michel", a touristic area next to Signal de Botrange.

Directly after the village of Verviers the way routes through a steep wooden area...

...and proceeds to the small spot of Jalhay.

Afterwards there is a cycling path alongside road N672 leading for many ascending kilometers straight on...

...and to the 9,000 yrs old area "Het Hoog Plateau".

A final turn to the left behind Baraque-Michel...

...leads to the pleasant highmoor scenery...

...and to today's destination Signal de Botrange.
