Col de la Croix de Fer 2,067m

The neighbour of famous Col du Galibier belongs to the classic passes of the Tour de France. This tour starts in St. Jean de Maurienne leading over Col du Mollard due to a closed road and only then to Croix de Fer. On the descent the tour routes via Col du Glandon. Nice trip in amazing high alpine scenery with more than 2,000m of altitude difference. (see also route of cycling marathon La Marmotte)
